Forts and other miscellaneous

As the girls get older it’s been so much fun watching their creativity grow too. On rainy days when we stay inside we decided to build a fort. It was so much fun to make and watch the girls cuddle in it watching movies and putting all their stuffed animals in with them.

It’s days like these that make life so full of joy.

Their favorite thing to do is to get all the pillows and toys and blankets and make a pile of it on the ground and then jump on top or borrow to the bottom of the pile. It’s a amazing world of imagination.  I wish I was half as creative as they are.

The park is one of the most visited places by us. Here in this small Midwest town there isn’t much to do and it’s often a struggle to find a activity for the girls to do that doesn’t involve spending money. But slowly and surely I’m learning how to be creative (can you tell this is the theme of this post so far lol). Sometime this week I want to paint with Zoey. I saw this awesome idea a friend on instagram did with these mason jars and Zoey is finally old enough to use a paintbrush so we will see how it goes. I would love to hear your activities you do with your toddlers and infants at home or in town.

One of our favorite places to go to is the Library. Zoey found this adorable duck there and wouldn’t let it out of her site. And now I’m on a quest to find a duck or better yet a pattern to make one. I’ve been obsessed lately with making stuffed animals and I’m determined to try.
